SO SURE MIL-PRF-81309H, Type II Corrosion Preventative Compound is a highly effective, water displacing, non-staining, non-hardening, non-conductive corrosion preventative compound.  The Type II aerosol is suitable for general purpose work.  The protective film of MIL-PRF-81309H is ultra-thin, non-staining, and highly protective.  It can be used on any metal surface such as hinges, machinery, electronic components, and all types of metallic sliding parts to provide corrosion protection and lubrication.   The ease of application of MIL-PRF-81309H makes is particularly suited for in-service use and is intended for indoor and short term outdoor protection and lubrication.

    We use copious amounts of this in naval aviation. It’s amazing. It doesn’t just prevent corrosion, it will also remove it if you leave it on the corroded area for a few minutes.
